ABOUT RICHARD TARDELL
Richard has been an artist for most of his adult life. He has works in several media,
including watercolor, acrylic and oil paints, as well as in digital photography. His subjects
have mostly centered around nature, pets, and travel.
Extensive travelling, often with a backpack, has provided him many wonderful opportunities.
From the plains and mountains of East Africa and South America, and the farms and fjords of
New Zealand, to the ports and gardens of Asia and Europe, many visions will remain forever with him.
Richard was born and raised in New York City. He lived for many years in North Carolina, the Pacific
Northwest and New Zealand. Now retired from a practice in emergency medicine, he plans to continue travelling, painting and
photographing full time for many years to come.
Richard is currently exhibiting at The Artists' Loft in Wake Forest, North Carolina, Sunset River Gallery in Calabash, NC, and at Extraordinaire gallery in Raleigh, NC. The 27587 magazine featured him in a lead article in the Spring 2018 issue.
Richard welcomes requests for commissions of family pets, automobiles and homes.
